Studies have shown that one other bases of good leadership is the trust and confidence your subordinates have of you. If they trust you they will go through hell and high water for you and for the organization.
Trust and confidence is built on good relationships, trustworthiness, and high ethics.
The way you deal with your people, and the relationships you build will lay the foundation for the strength of your group. The stronger your relationship, the stronger their trust and confidence is in your capabilities.
Once you have their trust and confidence, you may now proceed to communicate the goals and objectives you are to undertake.
Communication is a very important key to good leadership. Without this you can not be a good leader. The knowledge and technical expertise you have must be clearly imparted to other people.
Also, you can not be a good leader and unless you have good judgment. You must be able to assess situations, weigh the pros and cons of any decision, and actively seek out a solution.
It is this judgment that your subordinates will come to rely upon. Therefore, good decision-making is vital to the success of your organization.
Leaders are not do-it-all heroes. You should not claim to know everything, and you should not rely upon your skills alone.
You should recognize and take advantage of the skills and talents your subordinates have. Only when you come to this realization will you be able to work as one cohesive unit.
Remember being a leader takes a good deal of work and time. It is not learned overnight. Remember, also, that it is not about just you. It is about you and the people around you.
So, do you have the drive and the desire to serve required of leaders? Do you have the desire to work cooperatively with other people? Then start now. Take your stand and be leader today.

How to Become an Ideal Leader
When you are at work, do you get frustrated because things don't seem to be happening the way they’re supposed to be? You see people milling around but nothing gets accomplished. And in the daily hustle and bustle, do you feel that your goals remain just that – goals. Then maybe its time for you to stand up and do something about it.

Most people are content just to stand around listening for orders. And it isn't unusual to adopt a follow-the-leader mentality. But maybe, somewhere inside of you, you feel the desire to make things happen – to be the head, not the tail. Then maybe leadership just suits you fine.

Some people believe that great leaders are made, not born. Yes, it may be true that some people are born with natural talents. However, without practice, without drive, without enthusiasm, and without experience, there can be no true development in leadership.

You must also remember that good leaders are continually working and studying to improve their natural skills. This takes a commitment to constantly improve in whatever endeavor a person chooses.

First of all, let's define leadership. To be a leader, one must be able to influence others to accomplish a goal, or an objective. He contributes to the organization and cohesion of a group.

Contrary to what most people believe, leadership is not about power. It is not about harassing people or driving them using fear. It is about encouraging others towards the goal of the organization. It is putting everyone on the same page and helping them see the big picture of the organization. You must be a leader not a boss.

First of all, you have to get people to follow you. How is this accomplished?

People follow others when they see a clear sense of purpose. People will only follow you if they see that you know where you are going. Remember that bumper sticker? The one that says, don't follow me, I'm lost too? The same holds true for leadership. If you yourself do not know where you're headed to, chances are people will not follow you at all.

You yourself must know the vision of the organization. Having a clear sense of hierarchy, knowing who the leaders are, who to talk to, the organization's goals and objectives, and how the organization works is the only way to show others you know what you are doing.

Being a leader is not about what you make others do. It's about who you are, what you know, and what you do. You are a reflection of what you're subordinates must be.

What motivate you?

My involvement in network marketing started 26 years ago. I join company, one of the first one to appear. One of the distributors in a group was Jeff. Jeff started like everyone else by making a list of friends and family, am sure glad we don’t have to do that anymore. On his list was Charlie his brother in law. Now Charlie is a small man but his mouth make him look like he is 8 ft tall and 600 lb. Charlie has an opinion on everything and he knows it all. So Charlie was invited to the presentation, it was a small group 6 people showed up. Jeff was disappointed. But it went well some prospect showed some interest it was a good presentation.

The next day when Jeff got home from work there was Charlie with a big grin on his oversized face. Hey Jeff… Going to be a millionaire with this are you? Ahahaha. Poor Jeff was in no mood for this, it was hard enough. But that night Jeff received his first injection of motivation. I am going to show that no good brother in law… I am gone show him… No how is going to get the best of me know how!!!

Jeff called his sponsor and sponsor sponsor. Together they mastermind a program for Jeff. Jeff went to work, hard. At the end of 6 month Jeff build a sizeable producing group and slowly money start coming. One evening in his night blue suit and red tie, ready to board his 1976 faded green B210 Datsun, Jeff met Charlie pulling up the driveway. “Hey Jeff, made your million yet. RAAAAHHAAA.” Shut up muttered Jeff and off he went to his scheduled meeting injected with another dose of “motivation” from Charlie

Things started to work out for Jeff, another 6 month and he was able to replace the old B210 by a brand new metallic blue 1990 Chevy Caprice and nobody broke the lather but him. Jeff was so proud when he drove in his street that he went around the block 3 times showing off. That Sunday the had a get together with relatives for a diner and of course Charlie was there. When he saw the car he blurted out where did you get the car Jeff auction sale? No Charlie got it from the dealer bran new want to go for a ride?

Jeff keeps on keeping on, building his part time business among the sarcasms of Charlie, the neighbors and co-workers. But slowly but surely he is gaining ground. Just got another level achieved one more he can then trade that Chevy. One evening on his way out his wife asked him to stop at her brother Charlie to drop something. He shrugged, but he loves his wife. So on his way out of town to another meeting he stopped at Charlie’s and there he is with a big stupid grin on his face look like a Cheshire cat up in a tree. Hey Jeff still driving that old car? Not an old car just a year old.

6 month latter Jeff took delivery of a brand new metallic silver 300 SE Mercedes nobody broke the lather but him. Drove around the block 5 or 6 times. Flashing his light waiving to the neighbors. Drove down to Charlie’s and sit in the driveway blowing the 3 tone horn. Charlie step out and, walk to the car and said how come you are driving your boss’ car? Not my boss Charlie, MINE wanna go for a ride? And you know what Charlie this is not over yet. Get use to it.

After another 6 month Jeff Thanked his boss for the many years of servitude and told him that he could no longer afford to work here. Now he is working full time from home and success is his.

Month later Jeff picked up an bran new 1994 348 GTS Ferrari blood red with a 5 tone Italian air horn and nobody broke the lather but Jeff. That evening he drove around and around the neighborhood slowly, very slowly. Neighbors were drooling. He pick up his wife and went out for a lavish dinner. Later on they drove around like teenagers, waiving at everybody and at three am he park the Ferrari up Charlie’s drive way and lean on that 5 tone Italian air horn until Charlie in his night over coat appear at the top of the stairs and fell on his but. Hey Charlie wanna go for a ride. Common Charlie don’t you have one of your smart ass comment today. What’s wrong Charlie too early for you?

Charlie I tell you what I’ll work a little harder and if the creek don’t rise I’ll built me a run way right here in your drive way and I’ll park my Lear jet, Charlie… Hey Charlie wanna go for a ride? Common Charlie get your but off the cement you’re going to get piles…

POSITIVE THINKING DOES NOT WORK

This article was originally written by my friend Croz from Oz.

Recently, a friend told me about a conversation she had with her brother. She shared the personal transformation work she was doing with him and how it was helping her business. He responded with, “You know…this positive thinking stuff doesn’t work.” And then he went on to say that no matter how “positive” he had thought in his past, he still experienced limitations in his career.

My reaction was to feel sorry for this poor man who obviously doesn’t “get it”. I discussed it with my friend and we completed our call. The next day, I had an epiphany as I realized that my friend’s brother was absolutely right. “Positive” thinking doesn’t work. And, not only does positive thinking NOT cause transformation but it could actually be a root cause of people living life in a vicious cycle.

The act of thinking positive to overcome negative thoughts adds a layer of confusion to a person - taking them further away from personal clarity which is one of the keys to manifesting what you desire. And in turn, positive thought to overcome negative thought leads to positive action to overcome negative action causing a person to take two steps forward and three steps back not leading to anything but frustration, irritation, stress and more confusion.

Many people are looking to the Law of Attraction as the answer to fulfilling their desires. The Law of Attraction says that by thinking positive you create a positive vibration and attract positive things in your life. What most people don’t realise is that if you are thinking a positive thought to overcome a negative thought or are trying to change your life out of need or fear, your efforts are cancelled out. Your mind weeds through all of this effort and puts out a vibration aligned with the source, which is fear and thoughts about what you don’t want. In addition, most people aren’t prepared for the fact that when you try to change undesired thoughts and break free from what your mind has determined a safe and familiar place, your so called negative or non-desired thoughts get louder and louder. People like my client’s brother can’t take the self-induced mental abuse and give up trying to improve their thoughts.

So, what DOES work if positive thinking DOES NOT? The real secret is connecting with your desires in a way that they are not something you think, they are actually who you are and a foundation for how you live. So how do you connect with your desires? Shifting from thinking to creating is the key. During the act of creating there is no place for positive or negative thoughts. Creating connects you with your desires and puts your mind to work in a different way. Creating propels you forward and negative/positive thought patterns fall away. When you are creating, you naturally connect with your inner self so your mind is active but it is free of pre-conditioned thought.

Positive thinking does serve a purpose. Revealing your positive thoughts can reveal your negative thoughts and revealing your negative thoughts can reveal your fears and revealing your fears can reveal your desires and revealing your desires can provide the foundation for shifting from the unproductive negative/positive thinking cycle to creating. By revealing these layers of thought, you welcome them rather than resist them allowing you to let go and create something new. The more you shift to creating the more your thoughts will follow what you are creating -replacing the vicious cycle with manifestation of your desires.

How to locate and secure the top prospect.

In his brilliant book, "A Brief History of Time," Professor Stephen Hawking opens with the story of a well-known scientist who gave a public lecture on astronomy. The scientist described how the moon orbits the earth, the earth orbits the sun, and how our solar system orbits around the center of the galaxy. Hey! Yes! You guessed it! There is no convincing the little old lady, no then there is convincing you’re dumb brother-in-law, that network marketing is not always an illegal pyramid scam. What is a pyramid scam?

What’s the difference between a true network marketing business and a scam?

Let’s look at some definitions.

1. If the person at the bottom of the pyramid has no possibility of making money without recruiting other people or begging for money, it’s illegal.

2. If a person receive money for nothing from something that looks like a program or business, it’s probably illegal.

3. If there is no product or service or other item of value changing hands in exchange for money, it’s probably illegal.

4. If you have to continously recruit other people in order to earn money, it’s probably illegal.

These are the main one I can think of, the list can go on and on.

Now let’s look at some existing scams.

The “gifting club’ “Gotcha”

People pay to join a “gifting club” billed in promotional materials as a private club with members eager to help new friends. In reality this clubs are illegal pyramid scams. New members give cash gifts to older members with the promises that if they get new members they will in turn “cash in” far more then what they entered the club. The problem is that to succeed more and more new members must be recruited to keep the pyramid alive. When the club doesn’t attract anymore members it collapses. Most members who paid to join the clubs never receive the financial “gifts” they expected, and lose everything they paid to join the club.

Any multi-level system that pay commission for recruiting people is known as “pyramiding” Why “pyramiding” don’t work? Because plans that pay commissions for recruiting new distributors inevitably collapse when no new distributors can be recruited. And when a plan collapses, most people — except perhaps those at the very top of the pyramid — lose their money.

It is sometime very difficult to identify a scam from the real thing. There is people out there known as the “heavy heaters” they present well, speak with eloquence, lay out amazing plans and capture people’s attention with a snap of the fingers. Hungry prospects fall all over themselves with anticipation of fast and enormous profits only to find out that they have been taken to the cleaner. So how to avoid the “trap” Simple check them out over and over. Well this going to take time…Yes it will… so the easiest way is to educate yourself and that doesn’t take much time. Let me tell you a real story.

A few years ago my wife and I were invited to a dinner party. Great it’s free dinner. During the meal a presentation was made offering huge discount on vacation time share all over the world. Beautiful presentation with videos of far away beaches. Marvelous sun sets. Captivating moments at sea. You name it they had it all. The same scenario takes place with internet marketing. Every day I receive in the average 15 to 25 offers everyone better then the other. Strangely enough when digging in I realized that it was the same “heavy hitters” promoting the different programs. And they are making millions.
